Proposal and Funding Brochures

Set of instructional brochures designed to guide researchers through the NSF Division of Mathematical Sciences (DMS) proposal and funding process. The materials focus on two complementary themes: how to write a successful proposal and common pitfalls that prevent proposals from being funded.

The brochures use a clear, step-by-step visual structure with directional graphics, icons, and flow-based layouts to mirror the proposal development process. A cohesive blue and teal color palette, paired with concise typography and NSF branding, establishes clarity and authority while keeping complex guidance approachable. Key sections highlight merit-based review criteria, essential questions reviewers ask, practical hints, and frequent mistakes to avoid.

Designed for both print distribution and digital presentation, the brochures function as quick-reference tools for workshops, information sessions, and online sharing. Overall, the project translates dense funding guidance into visually engaging, easy-to-navigate resources that help researchers better understand expectations, strengthen submissions, and improve their chances of success.
