DAS Display

EddieMake_Portfolio11.jpg

This project is a large-format DAS display designed for high-visibility environments such as conferences, exhibitions, and institutional spaces. The display highlights National Science Foundation–supported research through a curated mosaic of scientific imagery, including astronomy, observatories, instruments, and data-driven visuals.

A key feature of the design is the integration of frequency lines, waveforms, and data points that are scientifically accurate and aligned with real astronomical concepts. These visual elements reference electromagnetic spectra, signal frequencies, and observational data used in astronomy, ensuring the graphics are not purely decorative but grounded in authentic scientific representation. This accuracy reinforces credibility for expert audiences while adding depth and meaning to the visual narrative.

The deep blue palette, structured horizontal bands, and precise image grids create clarity at large scale and readability from a distance, while layered details reward closer inspection. Overall, the DAS display functions as both an educational and experiential piece—accurately translating complex astronomical data into a visually compelling format that communicates discovery, scale, and scientific rigor.
